Terms of Use

1. About this platform

The Cyprus Innovation & Entrepreneurship Calendar (the “Platform”) is an independent, non-commercial initiative created by entrepreneurs in Cyprus to help the local innovation, startup, and entrepreneurship ecosystem coordinate event dates and avoid scheduling conflicts. The Platform is free of charge, free of advertising, and free of paid promotion — and will remain so. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any specific organization, university, government body, fund, accelerator, or association.

2. Acceptable use

By using the Platform, you agree:

• Only to submit events that are genuinely related to Cyprus innovation, startup, entrepreneurship, research, funding, or ecosystem activity.
• Not to use the Platform for advertising, promotional spam, partisan political content, or events unrelated to its purpose.
• To provide accurate information about your organization and your events.
• Not to misrepresent yourself or another organization.
• Not to attempt to interfere with the Platform’s security, abuse access, or scrape data in bulk.

3. Organizer accounts

Organizer access is granted manually after a short review. We reserve the right to approve, refuse, suspend, or revoke organizer access at our discretion to keep the Platform trustworthy and aligned with its purpose. We may also remove individual events that do not meet the acceptable-use criteria above.

4. Content & ownership

Organizers retain ownership of the content they post. By publishing an event you grant the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that information on the Platform and in calendar exports (e.g. ICS files) for the purpose of public coordination. Logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

5. No fees, no advertising

The Platform charges no fees of any kind — not for organizers, not for visitors, not for featured placement. There are no paid ads, no sponsored events, and no third-party marketing. Featured events are selected at the discretion of the platform admins based on ecosystem relevance, never in exchange for payment.

6. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided “as is”, on a best-effort basis, with no warranty of availability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. Event details are supplied by organizers and may change — always confirm with the organizer before attending. The Platform is not responsible for the content, conduct, or cancellation of any third-party event listed here.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of the Platform accept no liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Platform or reliance on information published on it.

8. Privacy

Use of the Platform is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal data is handled in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Cyprus courts.

10. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the Platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
